Family fun day at fire station

Youngsters enjoyed sitting at the wheel of a fire engine and posing with Fireman Sam during a fun day at Crowland Fire Station on Bank Holiday Monday.

During the day, which went on from noon to 6pm, a team of fundraisers revealed they had made £643.48 for the Fire Fighters Charity with a bag pack at Morrisons in Pinchbeck.

Fun, food and fire safety tips were also on offer as well as demonstrations and talks about how the service makes the community a safer place.

And as well as Fireman Sam, youngsters also had the chance to meet Crowland’s own mascots, Freddie, Filbert and Penelope and to experience the crash car simulator and inflatable fire house.
