Year 11 students from Long Sutton’s Peele Community College celebrated the end of their time there in grand style with a Fairground-themed Prom on Friday evening.
Students arrived in all sorts of transport, to be greeted by fairground stalls and food and even a ride.
They danced the night away in a marquee to local band Fazed and a disco provided by student Nick Royal.
The girls arrived dressed in a stunning array of ball gowns and contemporary dresses, while the boys cut a dash in their formal attire.
Transport included lorries, vintage cars, super cars and outriders on motor bikes but the highlight had to be Robyn Sever arriving on a camel led by her partner Charles Evans. Needless to say, this won the ‘Best Transport’ prize for the evening.
Lots of fun prizes were awarded throughout the night, including winners of the fairground games before the main honour of the evening was awarded. After voting by the staff, Josh Coe was named Prom King and Rosie Guest Prom Queen. Prom Prince was awarded to Robert Larmet and Prom Princess was Olivia Matthewson.
Some of the staff from the organising committee were also dressed as fairground ‘barkers’ with colourful, striped waistcoats and straw boaters.
