Disappointed organisers of Weston Steam and Country Fair are reeling after their lowest public attendance in five years.
Gordon Kirk and Peter Tyers were hoping to raise money for LIVES and Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, but fewer than 150 people attended on Saturday and Sunday.
Mr Kirk said: “It was a total wipeout.”
He said the event was advertised in the press, but roadside signs put up to draw people to the event were taken down.
Mr Kirk hopes the event will go ahead next year, but changes may have to be made to encourage more members of the public to attend.
The event included attractions for children as well as stationary engines, vintage and classic motorbike and cars, and stalls selling a variety of goods.
