SHOPPERS in Tesco watched in stunned amazement as a naked 19-year-old woman strolled down the aisles.

Blonde Katie Wilson had no clothes on as she waltzed into the supermarket in Cherry Holt Road in Bourne.

The teenager was high on the legal drug “Benzo Fury”. The drug was blamed for the death of Scottish teenager Alex Herriot after he took it at the recent RockNess festival.

Magistrates at Grantham heard on Monday that Wilson was asked to leave Tesco – whose slogan is Every Little Helps – after being abusive and aggressive towards staff.

Daniel Paulson, prosecuting, said: “She was then taken to a back office where something was found for her to wear. Police then attended and placed Miss Wilson under arrest.”

However, Wilson refused to leave quietly and kicked an officer, barefoot, in the face. She also kicked a wing mirror off a police car and damaged a light inside the car.

Mr Paulson said: “She admitted the offences in interview. She said she had taken legal drugs which caused her to act in the way she did.”

Rob Arthur, defending, said Wilson was embarrassed to be in court for the first time.

He added: “This is clearly a day Miss Wilson would like to put out of her memory if she could.

“I don’t think she could be any more apologetic to the officer in relation to her behaviour that day.

“The fact she went out to Tesco in Bourne naked shows the mental state she was in.

“These experiences mean she will never risk taking such substances again.”

Wilson admitted outraging public decency on May 23 and was fined £50. She received a £150 fine after admitting assault and was given a one-year conditional discharge after admitting criminal damage.

She was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £15 surcharge.

Presiding magistrate Jo Johnson said: “I hope you have learnt your lesson.”
