UK farming better in Europe

UK farming is better off inside the EU, according to NFU director of policy Martin Haworth, responding to Prime Minister David Cameron’s pledge to hold a referendum on the country’s role in Europe.

Mr Haworth has said that, despite some frustrations over EU regulation, “UK agriculture would be better off” inside and that UK exports to Europe would be jeopardised if the UK left the EU.
