A second bid to build a barn in the grounds of Granite House, Chapelgate, Gedney, met the same response as the first – it was refused outright.

A neighbour complained about the size of the proposed barn, which would stand 50ft long and 29ft tall, saying it would block out her natural sunlight.

Councillors voted 10-4 to throw it out, saying they didn’t approve of it’s size and scale and it would materially harm the amenity of neighbours because of noise and disturbance created by activities on the site.
