Southfield Nurseries at Morton – otherwise known as Cactusland – has achieved a first at Malvern Autumn Flower Show.

The multi award-winning nursery received Best in Show, a significant achievement in its own right.

But proprietors Bryan and Linda Goodey had already earned Best in Show at the spring show.

Their daughter Eleanor Brown said: “It is the first time ever that an exhibitor at this show has won the Best in Show for both the Spring and Autumn Flower Shows.

“We are therefore immensely proud of this achievement.

“It is the first time we have been awarded the Best in Show at this particular show in September.

“It is very late in the season for cacti as they are approaching their dormant period when they will be kept dry over the winter.”

Bryan Goodey was presented with the award by Raymond Evison and the Countess of Darnley, president of the Three Counties Agricultural Society.
