Long Sutton Parish Council is seeking a judicial review after the district’s planning committee allowed the weakening of eco credentials of nearly 90 homes to go on the former Butterfly and Wildlife Park.

The legal move could overturn the committee’s decision.

Sutton Bridge great-grandma Shirley Giles fought the council with a judicial review and won her case – overturning consent for a gasifier on a site at Wingland.

That application is back on the planning committee’s agenda tonight (Wednesday) with a recommendation from officers for refusal after applicants EnergyPark Sutton Bridge failed to supply further information requested by the council.
