Farmers urged to keep pesticide out of water

The Metaldehyde Stewardship Group has called for renewed efforts to keep the under-threat pesticide out of surface waters after a watchdog recorded some of the highest levels since monitoring began. Water UK has revealed concerning concentrations, substantially above the stringent standard for drinking water, in streams, rivers and reservoirs across England, linked to slug pellet applications.
