RESIDENTS of Sutton Bridge will have their say on the biomass energy plant at a public meeting in The Curlew Centre at 6.30pm on Tuesday, October 16.

Sutton Bridge Parish Council has asked the district council to extend today’s deadline for comments for a month so the views of residents and the parish council are taken into account by the planning committee.

Developers Green Energy Parks (GEP) are going to the public meeting to answer residents’ questions on the 64-acre site.

GEP spokesman Helen Rome said: “GEP is absolutely committed to openness and transparency in relation to our plans.”

The public meeting was organised by county, district and parish councillor Chris Brewis and will end with a vote or ballot on the planning application if requested by more than half the people who attend.
