Delays will continue until
February 20 as Western
Power Distribution continues working on various roads as it completes its £7million project to improve power
supplies in Spalding.

Two new cables are being laid under the River Welland between Commercial Road and Albion Street – and a cable is being installed between St Paul’s Road and Park Road.

Albion Street will close between February 2 and 20.

Western Power says traffic management will take place in the following spots:

l Commercial Road and the Twin Bridges (started
January 5) until January 11

l West Elloe Avenue to Albion Street and the Twin Bridges from January 12-
18

l Pinchbeck Road to West Elloe Avenue from January 19-26

l West Elloe Avenue from January 26 to February 2

There were bigger than usual queues on the A16 into Spalding on Tuesday as Lincolnshire County Council piled on the agony with a one day closure of Spalding Road (Church Street) at Pinchbeck for the road surface to be patched up.

l One resident said lorries are having to reverse along Spalding’s London Road, which is closed, because Anglian Water’s works aren’t signposted early enough.
