Agricultural Wages Board to be abolished
Farmers will be able to compete for labour on an equal footing with other local employers from October, when the Agricultural Wages Board for England and Wales is abolished.
Farming minister David Heath has confirmed the board’s abolition which he said was “in the best interests of all those within the industry”, leading to a single employment regime across all sectors of the economy.
