THREE pupils at Tydd St Mary Primary School showed great initiative when it came to supporting Race for Life.

Maisie Pratt, Cathlin Ross-Stewart and Erika Webb wanted to raise money for the charity, but rather than bring sponsor forms into school they came up with a great idea.

They approached headteacher Sonya Ripley and asked if they could organise a dress in pink fun day for the school, with children asked to make a donation.

”It was their own initiative,” said Mrs Ripley. “They organised games and cakes to sell and did everything themselves. I am incredibly proud of them because they didn’t take any organising, they did it all themselves.”

She said the day went brilliantly, raising around £125 for Race for Life.
