Children, family and the public enjoyed a WWI commemoration themed summer fete at Spalding Grammar School.
The sun shone over the school when their summer fete was opened by King George V and Queen Mary, who arrived in a vintage Rolls Royce.
The fete included activities such as three-egged races, sack races, an obstacle course and a limited overs cricket match.
The event also included a barbecue, live music and stalls selling many goodies.
Phillip Bell, head of history, said: “The aim was to get as many boys as possible involved in the day and I think we succeeded!
“I was delighted with how well the day went and I think it was a great way to showcase the school.”
