Tis the season to be jolly at school

Schools are really in the Christmas spirit and are busier than ever with a host of plays, nativity productions and fairs.

Children at Surfleet Primary School were on song for their carol concert and traditional nativity play and had dress rehearsals in school before performing to family and friends of the school.

The Friends of St Paul’s School in Spalding are busy fundraising towards a new school library and they put on a Christmas fair at the school on Friday evening.

The special guest on the evening was Santa Claus, who had a young helper Geoffrey Hall, and attractions included a host of stalls as well as a chance to have a whole new look courtesy of face-painter Laura Spurr.

Holbeach Primary School had its Christmas fair on the same night, organised by the Parents’, Teachers’ and Friends’ Association, and there were lots of fun things to do for children and parents.

The Friends of Westmere Primary School, Sutton Bridge, also chose Friday for their Christmas fair.

Attractions included a host of stalls as well as tasty treats like homemade chocolates.
