Tastes of the Olympics linger on for school pupils

Young cooks from two Spalding schools are all set for the final of a cookery competition inspired by the 2012 Olympics.

Spalding High and Sir John Gleed schools join a four-way culinary battle at Freiston, near Boston, on March 22.

Rosie Fresen (second right) and Alice Hendy (right) will represent Spalding High and are pictured at their school’s heat with Tilly Gurney (left) and Eleanor Boothman. Rosie and Alice will cook dishes from Olympic nations and are likely to opt for Scotland.
