Children were having fun all over the district last week as schools and nurseries began to wind down for the summer holidays.

Pupils at Gedney Drove End Primary School were busy rehearsing for their play, which this year had a Wizard of Oz theme. The youngsters performed for their families at the village hall.

Small Saints Pre-School in Holbeach weren’t just celebrating the end of term – they had a 30 year anniversary to mark.

Children, parents and staff all came together for a special party at the school, where there was a slide, bouncy castle and celebration cake.

There was fun too at Gedney Church End Primary School where they held a summer fayre.

Visitors included Lincolnshire County Council chairman William Webb, a policeman and a community support officer.
