YOUNGSTERS at Bicker Preparatory School and Early Years are getting into the Olympic spirit.

The children went to school dressed as sporting celebrities and took part in a number of events.

Foundation stage children walked around the school completing as many laps as they could in a given time. This was a sponsored event to raise money for new equipment for the school.

Pupils in key stages one and two went to the playing field and took part in a sponsored obstacle course complete with hurdles, hoops, and balancing beams. Some children managed 18 laps which is a considerable feat.

During the afternoon, children took part in a dancing competition gaining team points for their sports houses.
