A Gosberton school for children with autistic and sensory needs is in contention for a top award.

Gosberton House School has been nominated for the 2014 Autism Professionals Awards, run by the National Autistic Society, because of its innovative approach to supporting autistic children.

The school is among other services for autistic people from across the UK to be nominated and the winners will be named in March 2014.

Headteacher Louise Stanton said: “We are surprised and delighted to receive this nomination which is a testament of the hard work and dedication of our staff, parents and the multi-professional team who, together, make our Gosberton House School a great place to be.”
