STAFF, pupils, parents and governors gave a good send-off to retiring Gedney Hill Primary School headteacher Lynn Chappell.
Mrs Chappell had been headteacher at the school for the last eight years of her 36-year career and is now planning to take a month or so off to decide what to do with her time.
She hinted at possibly starting up a new business with one of her three sons.
She said goodbye to the school on Monday.
She said: “I was inundated with flowers and gifts, including garden furniture and a water feature.
“There were so many one of the other teachers had to help me get them home.
“I am very grateful and I will miss everyone at the school.
“I have throughly enjoyed teaching.”
