PUPILS from Whaplode Primary School pulled out the stops at a sponsored keep fit session and raised a very healthy £1,331.76 for the children’s charity, the NSPCC.

Headteacher Mary Grist said: “We like to raise money for charities through the year and we tend to focus on children’s charities who come in and give us talks about their work. With the NSPCC our children understood they were raising money for children who are less fortunate than themselves.”

Mrs Grist thanked pupils’ families and friends for sponsoring the children so generously.

The keep fit session included activities such as skipping, jumping and music and movement.
