Children from 25 south Lincolnshire primary schools came together for a day of tag rugby at Spalding Grammar.
The Sainsbury’s School Games event was run by Rupert Gibson as part of the national strategy to get more children playing, competing and volunteering.
Teams played in small pools in the morning and then the two winning teams from each pool went on into a knockout competition to decide the Small Schools and Large Schools winners.
Spalding Grammar School provided 22 sports leader students to referee all the games and they did an outstanding job.
Tydd St Mary A were gold and silver medalists in the Small School category, with bronzes going to Holbeach St Marks and Gedney Drove End.
In the Large School competition the winners were Moulton John Harrox, silver went to Langtoft and bronze went to Market Deeping Community Primary and Bourne Westfield A.
