ALL 20 pupils in the leaving group at Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall School were honoured in the Year 6 prizegiving.

Former headteacher Brian Chittick, who left at the end of the Easter term, returned to the school to present the awards.

One of the most coveted prizes, the Johnson Ambassador Award for pupils who best represent their school, was given jointly to Matilde Kedzlie and William Gurney.

Children were honoured for their academic and sporting achievements as well as for things like citizenship, courtesy and taking responsibility.

Year 6 teacher Nic Laud presented each child with a book of recollections for their memories of the school.

Mrs Laud said the youngsters were delighted to see their old headteacher and thoroughly enjoyed the prizegiving.
