HARD-working pupils at Middlecott School at Kirton were recognised for their achievements at their Celebrating Success Evening, but one individual in particular was singled out for praise.

While dozens of students were mentioned in the presentations for attendance, sports, teams and curriculum areas, The Middlecott School Special Award went to one Year 10 pupil.

Assistant head Andy Bryan said the trophy was presented to 15-year-old Charlette Goult, who had done well in several different areas in spite of difficult personal circumstances.

All the awards were presented by guest of honour Sue Ganley MBE, president of Boston Rowing Club, who also spoke about the club, reputedly the 12th oldest in the country and the venue used for assessments by the GB and junior squads.
