Unique Christmas cards will be sent by local MP John Hayes once again this year thanks to the efforts of children from three of the area’s special schools.

As usual, John organised a competition to design his Christmas card and once again invited pupils from Gosberton House Academy and Spalding’s Garth and Priory schools to enter.

The member of parliament for South Holland and the Deepings was extremely delighted with all of the entries and had a very hard task choosing the winners.

They were Theo Trollope (4) from Gosberton House Academy, Brendan Lakey (12, second left) from The Priory School and Cadan Lowe (8, far left) and Brett Reed (18, front right) both from The Garth School.

Springfields Outlet Shopping kindly offered the winners a visit to its Santa’s grotto.

Sponsors were Springfields, Duncan and Toplis (David Gratton), Turners Fish Restaurant (Philip Hall) Broadgate Builders (Ian Canham), Addo Food Group Spalding Bakery, Moore Thompson, GBSG Ltd, PSP IT Design and Development (Joe Verde), Seagate Homes Ltd (Howard King) and Tonic Health (Michael Morris).

John said “I enjoyed looking at all of the entries which were of a very high standard. The children, their families and the schools deserve to be very proud.”
