The South Holland Post 16 Centre hosted a six-a-side football tournament at the Sir John Gleed School which was organised by students and teachers from the Level 2 BTEC Public Services course.
Local public services including South Holland District Council and Spalding Police took part in the tournament, along with students and teaching staff from the Post-16 centre and a Year 11 Leavers’team from the Sir John Gleed School.
The final match between the Year 11 leavers and teaching staff was down to a sudden death penalty shoot-out, won by the teaching staff team who were given the winners’ trophy.
The tournament was organised as a finale to the Public Service level 2 course and helped to raise over £60 for the Callum Pite Smile Charity.
Jason Clarke, lead teacher of Public Services, said: “I am extremely proud of the students’ achievements this year and I look forward to welcoming new students on to the course in September.”
