Pupils at Weston Hills Primary School were given a valuable and eye-opening lesson in keeping themselves safe online during an internet safety awareness assembly.

The special event last Wednesday saw children dress up in various costumes to make the point that care was needed when trying to make friends online.

Teacher Sally Alexander said: “It was a very visual way of getting the message across to the children that even though they’ve grown up thinking they’re always going to be safe and that their parents can keep them safe, they can learn to keep themselves safe as well.”
