Children at Pinchbeck East Primary School have had a busy summer term fundraising for charity and learning how to keep themselves safe on the roads.
The whole school of more than 350 children and staff staged a special Race For Life event to raise funds for Cancer Research. By each completing 5km distances around the cricket field next to the school they covered the equivalent of Pinchbeck to Milan.
Headteacher Teeny Vayro said: “It was a fabulous celebration with the children dressed in pink and blue.
“The older children planned and led it and everybody got involved.”
In a separate event, Kay Taman from Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, visited the school to remind children how to look after themselves when out on the road.
This included advice on cycle helmet wearing, being seen on the road, refreshing the Green Cross Code and car safety.
Funds are still coming in from the Race for Life event. If you would like to help with the sponsorship go to www.justgiving.com/pinchbeckeastceprimaryschool
