STUDENTS and staff at Peele Community College Long Sutton are celebrating one of its best ever sets of GCSE results on a day of high emotion.
The college achieved 100 per cent success in the number of students with 5A* to G qualifications and 91.2 per cent with five or more A* to C grades, a record for Peele.
Acting headteacher Simon Gilman said he was also proud of the 47.2 per cent of students who gained five or more GCSE A8 to C grades, including English and maths.
Star students included Katie Palmer who achieved five A*s and five As, Romy Ward with four A*s and four As and Rebecca Turner who gained four As and seven Bs.
Mr Gilman said: “Students of all abilities have risen to the many examination and coursework challenges to achieve considerable success.
“Students, parents, carers and staff at the college need to be congratulated for all the dedication, teamwork and commitment that have gone into achieving these excellent results.
