A nursery in Spalding is celebrating its fourth anniversary in better shape than ever after a glowing report from Ofsted.

Little Treausres Nursery in Haverfield Road has been rated outstanding in all areas after an inspection in October 2013 when Ofsted official Deborah Hunt found childen enjoying “a truly memorable early years experience.”

In its latest report, the nursery was praised for its “inspiring and professional staff, excellent educational programmes, amazing baby room environment and high quality resources.”

Nursery manager Rebecca Genever said: “We’re obviously really, really pleased about the report as both my staff and myself have worked ever so hard on achieving the outstanding grade.

“We’re the first and only nursery in South Holland to have been awarded that grade and we’re working together with the local authority to look at what we’re doing and what our practices are.

“We are always striving forward to reach that outstanding target and we always do our best to meet the criteria.”

The Ofsted report said: “The inspiring and professional staff at this vibrant nursery offer children a truly memorable early years experience within an environment as close to home as the nursery can make it.

“The excellent educational programmes offer a balanced range of adult-led and child-initiated activities according to children’s age and stage of development.”

Ofsted did encourage the nursery to develop further its “excellent partnership” with Spalding Children’s Centre so that parents can use it more.
