AN Olympics Fayre raised nearly £2,000 for Holbeach Primary School when staff, pupils, parents and friends focused their minds on the 2012 summer games.

Outdoor sports planned for the event were rained off, but inside it was a frenzy of fun activities and there were visits from special guests paralympian Sally Reddin and Olympic torch bearer Mandy Woods.

Sam Woods, who chairs the school PTFA, said the money will be spent on equipment to benefit pupils but there’s no particular project in mind at the moment.
