Moulton Harrox pupils Jack Laud, Ben Hales and Joshua Barnard are pictured celebrating a big win in the schools’ hyacinth growing competition.

More than 20 schools took part in the competition organised by Springfields Horticultural Society and the best grown of the 1,500 bulbs that went out to local schools were put on display at Springfields Retail Outlet, in Spalding.

Society chief executive David Norton said the competition encourages children to get involved in a great South Holland tradition. SG070213-763NG
