GIRLS at Spalding’s Sir John Gleed School who won’t be going to their own prom until next year have their outfits and hairstyles all planned.
The year ten pupils researched all aspects of school proms for a project, making moodboards which showed how they would style themselves for their own leavers’ ball.
The 14 and 15-year-olds were tutored in styling sophisticated updos fit for a ball by students from the adjacent Post-16 Centre hairdressing course.
After six weeks’ work on the project, they created their own prom hairstyles on model heads and held a competition.
The winner was Mary Hughes, followed by Rose Budworth (second) and Nina Houlgrave (third).
