SOUTH Lincolnshire students helped contribute to another increase in GCSE results for the county.
Initial figures show that 63 per cent of pupils have bagged five A* to C grades, including English and Maths, a figure up four per cent on last year.
Coun Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Children’s Services, said: “This is the seventh year of continuous improvement in Lincolnshire’s GCSE results and another excellent set of results.
“Our young people and the teachers, parents and carers have done fantastically well and their dedication and commitment has been rewarded. Congratulations to everyone involved but especially the students themselves.”
In Spalding, Gleed Boys’ School equalled the best ever GCSE results recorded at the school.
Exactly half of this year’s cohort collected five A* to C grades on Thursday, with 41 per cent also meeting the Government’s targets for including Maths and English.
