Students from Thomas Cowley High School in Donington competed in their annual fun run, a 3.8 mile course, and raised £370 for the Donington/Bicker and the Gosberton/Quadring LIVES group as both branches cover much of the school’s catchment area.

Head Girl, Sally Austin, and Head Boy, Misha Murdoch presented a cheque, which would pay for their oxygen supplies for the year, to Trevor Lewis, the LIVES co-ordinator for the area, and Sandra Thacker, the fundraising coordinator.
Deputy Headteacher Ian Dawson said: “ We felt that it was important to maintain the strong link that we have with the local community and to recognise groups such as LIVES.
“The school is pleased to be able to assist them in the tremendous role they play in the local area.”
