The Deepings School welcomed over 500 guests to their annual presentation evening at Kingsgate Community Centre, where the Year 11 and Year 13 classes of 2014/15 were presented with certificates to celebrate their achievements.

Many students were also awarded additional prizes to represent the whole range of subject areas, sporting achievements and work within the community.

Making the award presentations was special guest Claire Burgess from Soar Developments. Claire gave an inspirational speech with the theme of growing and developing.

Guests were entertained with a superb range of musical performances from some very talented students, and had opportunities to enjoy some refreshments and talk with staff and community representatives.

The proceedings were overseen by the Chair of Governors, Jonathan Theobalds, and a vote of thanks and presentation to the guest presenter was made by Head Boy and Head Girl Chay Dummett and Hayley Cancea.

Headteacher Richard Trow said: “Performances across many GCSE subject were very strong and good progress was made. At A-level our results were among the school’s best ever with a 98 per cent overall pass rate.”
