Children, parents and staff from Moulton Chapel Primary School have raised over £500 for Cancer Research UK following a race for life challenge.
The KS1 children were to complete only 1K, but were determined to join the KS2 children on their 5K circuit. The 1K route led from the school to St James’s Church, to a drinks station at the Jolly Farmer pub and then back to the school. The children ran, jogged, walked – and some even walked three-legged with bean bags on their heads. They all wore pink for the event and were given a medal for completing the challenge. A spokesperson from the school said: “A great time was had by all and we would like to say well done to the children, parents and staff and thank you to everyone who supported this event.”
