Spalding Grammar School held its first ever Year 8 library certificate evening to recognise the boys’ achievements in a series of reading challenges.
Headmaster Nigel Ryan presented certificates to pupils who had completed their bronze, silver and gold targets.
Ashwin Durairaj, Samuel French, Connor Morrison and Harry Wakeham received platinum certificates for their outstanding achievements that are tough to accomplish within a year.
There were also awards in categories such as top reader, most improved reader and first to complete a challenge.
School librarian Kim Graham, who organised the evening, spoke to parents about the key role they play in helping and supporting their children to read.
