Blitz spirit brought back to life through memorabilia museum

HANDS-on lessons about rationing, uniforms and weapons from the Second World War have been given to pupils at Gosberton Clough and Risegate Primary School.

Children from Key Stage 2 had the opportunity to explore the past thanks to two tonnes of exhibition material from We’ll Meet Again - a World War Two mobile museum.

Headteacher Alan Hughes said: “It took nearly three hours to unload the truck. A member of staff came in at 6.30am to let them in.

“It was phenomenal. They left it up for half an hour at the end of the day so parents could come and have a look too.

“We’ve had so much positive feedback from the parents and the children.”
