Swing boats, a bungee trampoline and the Ultimate Climbing Wall Experience saw children having a whale of a time at Spalding Primary School’s PTA Summer Fair yesterday (Saturday).

There was live entertainment too with member of staff Nathan Shortland among those singing to the crowd.

Police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue had lots of interest from children and parents who had a chance to inspect a patrol car and fire engine.

PTA chairman Darren Ward was delighted with the turnout as every penny raised will benefit the school.

He said the main project currently is providing an outdoor classroom but sums will also be spent on special events like the Year 6 leaving party.

Speaking at the fete, Mr Ward said: “We had about 1,200 people last year and so far, just an hour in, we have had 600 people.”
