Get up early on Tuesday and enjoy catching one of the best wildlife events of the year.

The Big One guided walk at RSPB Freiston Shore combines one of the highest tides of the year with the peak in autumn migration.

It offers the chance of a fantastic wildlife spectacle.

As the tide pushes up and over the vast mud flats of The Wash, the birds which spend their time feeding there are forced off and go to roost on the lagoons at the RSPB reserve.

The walk is 7am-9am. RSPB Freiston Shore is just half an hour’s drive from Spalding (just off Boston to Skegness road).

Cost is £4 for adults and £2 for children. Half price for RSPB members.

Places are limited so booking now is advisable to avoid disappointment.
