Domestic abuse not linked to World Cup

There were eight incidents of domestic abuse across South Holland over the weekend, however none were linked to the World Cup.

Lincolnshire Police is anticipating an increase in incidents of domestic abuse during the football tournament. However, only two of the weekend’s incidents were linked to violence. On Friday night a 22-year-old man was arrested for criminal damage in Moulton and was charged and given conditional bail to appear in court. And a man was arrested in Holbeach for assault.

Also on Friday night, a 51-year-old man was arrested for producing fake driving licence when stopped by police. He has been charged with document offence. And a 49-year-old man was arrested in Weston Hills for breaching bail conditions in place to protect victim.

An attempted burglary took place in St Thomas Road, Spalding, some time on Saturday night. (Incident 131 15th)

Overnight Friday, some garden ornaments were stolen from Saracens Head. And heating oil was stolen in Foxes Low Road, Holbeach. (Incident 164 15th)

On Saturday, a 39-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were arrested and charged for drink-driving in Spalding in two separate incidents.

On Saturday night, a 34 year-old man was arrested for shouting and swearing in Westlode Street, Spalding. He later received a formal caution.

Two men were arrested in Holbeach with a van full of suspected stolen fuel, charged with handling stolen goods and bailed to appear in court.

A 21 year-old man was arrested for a disorder offence in Westlode Street, Spalding. He later received a formal caution.
