AFTERNOON tea dance will be held tomorrow in the Royal British Legion Hall, 2-4pm. Entrance is £4.50 including tea and raffle. Music by Eric Cloud. Proceeds for Sue Ryder, Thorpe Hall in memory of June Cooke.

ROYAL British Legion is holding its annual meeting tomorrow in the club lounge at 7.30pm.


SEVERAL local charities pay out cash each year to eligible residents. This year’s annual distribution will take place on Saturday, December 8, at 2pm at the Royal British Legion Hall. If you are over 70 years of age or a widow and have lived in Donington for at least seven years you will be entitled to payment from these charities. GOSBERTON Churches Together Messy Church is in Quadring St Margaret’s Church Hall on Friday at 4pm.

GOSBERTON Youth Club meets in the youth centre on Friday at 7.15pm.

NEXT meeting of the Gosberton Church Fellowship is on Monday at 7.30pm. Speaker, raffle and refreshments.


WOMEN’S Institute Christmas mega bingo is this Saturday at the WI Hall, Park Road. Doors open at 1pm for eyes down at 2pm. Good prizes. All proceeds to the WI Hall.

Holbeach Bank

CASH bingo and prize raffle will be held in the village hall on November 27. Eyes down 7.30pm. Refreshments available or bring a bottle. Don’t forget there’s also a bingo tonight, same time and venue.

Lutton Marsh

AUTUMN fair organised by the Methodist Ladies Group will take place at St Mary’s Church Hall, Long Sutton on Saturday, 10am to noon. The event will include stalls, competitions, refreshments and raffle.

Moulton Chapel

ST James’ Church Christmas bingo will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 7.30pm, in the youth and community centre. Donations of prizes would be appreciated to Peg Fountain or Jean Cottam.


PINCHBECK Photographic Group present ‘Images of India’ by David Steel – a true expert in the art of photojournalism and capturing people in their natural environment. The event is this Thursday at Birchgrove Garden Centre, Pinchbeck, 7.30pm. Admission £3 for non-members.

Saracen’s Head

OVER 60s Christmas party will be held in the village hall on Saturday, November 24. Invites for the party have now been delivered. If you have not received one and would like to attend phone June Taylor on 01406 422050. Residents from Saracen’s Head and Holbeach Bank are eligible if one of the couple are 60 years old or over. The evening starts with a three course meal followed by entertainment with two artists. The evening is free thanks to the fundraising by the Over 60s Committee during the year.

VILLAGE hall Christmas fayre is on Sunday, December 2, 2-4pm. Santa will be in his grotto giving free gifts to all children. The usual gift stalls/games, cake stall, etc, with fun for all the family.


MACMILLAN Cancer Support is holding a special Christmas fair at Spalding Lifestyle (next to the Johnston Community Hospital) on Thursday, November 22, 11am-7.30pm. Admission is free and there will be lots on offer from specially invited stalls, as well as beauty, wine tasting, psychic readings and a flower arranging demonstration by Wendy Goodliff at 4pm.

CHRISTMAS bazaar at the Community Hall, St Thomas’s Roman Catholic Church, St Thomas Road, Spalding on Saturday, December 8, 12.30pm to 5pm.
