CROYLAND Abbey flower festival takes place over the August bank holiday, from Friday, August 24 to Monday, August 27. Open from 10am until 5pm each day except Sunday when it will be open 12.30pm to 5pm. The theme is Songs of Yesteryear. The festival will close with a Songs of Praise service at 7pm on August 27.
East Elloe Probus
NEXT lunch meeting of the Probus Club of East Elloe will take place next Tuesday at the Masonic Hall, Park Lane, Long Sutton, at noon. Guest speaker is June Barton on `Pigsties, privies and old coppers’. The Probus Club meets on the third Tuesday of every month and offers a warm welcome to all 55+ year old retired business and professional men. Gosberton Clough and Risegate
THE Friends of St Gilbert and St Hugh’s Parish Church now consists of 21 members. Anyone wishing to join is asked to contact Barbara Berridge, of 1 Laxton Gardens, Pinchbeck. To help raise money for the upkeep of the church visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/fostgsth to register and every time you shop just go in to ‘retailers’ then choose a retailer and ‘go shopping’. A donation will be made direct to the charity on purchases. There are over 2,000 well known retailers and it doesn’t cost a penny to use this method. There’s also money to be saved with special offers and voucher codes and it will help the church.
