BICKER

THERE is bingo in the village hall on Saturday, September 22 at 2pm to raise funds for the over 60s annual party 2013. There will be a cake stall and a raffle, donations to these would be much appreciated. Phone Jean Thompson on 01775 820662 for any further information.

CROWLAND

THE Christmas Lights Committee is holding a Lincs Fashion Show and Clearance Sale on Wednesday, September 26 at South View Primary School. Something for everyone from 16 to 60+. Sizes from eight to 24. 7pm for 7.30pm start. Tickets, £3 each,from South View School, Crowland Cares at the library or the parish office.

DONINGTON

MANY congratulations to Donington in Bloom and all the villagers who help and support the group. At the awards at Springfields we won gold once again.

GEDNEY

THERE will be bingo at Gedney Village Hall on Thursday, September 20th at 7.30pm, refreshments available.

THERE will be a coffee morning hosted by Pam Caccavale at 15 St Mary’s Meadows, Gedney, at 10am on Saturday, September 22.

GOSBERTON

GOSBERTON St Peter and St Paul’s Church is pleased that so many people are saving their newspapers which are sold for church funds. The church porch is open most days for bundles of papers which are collected about every three weeks. The main team members who deal with the collections are Hilary Burt, Mike Hammond, assisted by Ray Lindley.

ON the third Thursday of each month a fellowship afternoon is held at the home of Peter and Janet Bettles at 16 Bowgate at 2pm. For more information contact Mr Bettles on 01775 840305.

GOSBERTON Methodist Junior Church meets on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

A TUESDAY Fellowship is held at the Gosberton Methodist Church on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. For more information contact Rev Ian Walters on 01775 840694. A communion service is held at the methodist each Wednesday at 7.30pm.

NEXT Fun and Fellowship afternoon at the Gosberton Baptist is on Friday, September 28 at 2pm with table games, tea and coffee and cake. All welcome.

THE mobile library will be in Gosberton on Friday, September 21 at Field Close from 10am to 11am and at Godfrey Avenue from 11.05am to noon.

GOSBERTON CLOUGH AND RISEGATE

THE flowers for St Gilbert and St Hugh’s Church, Gosberton Clough and Risegate for 16, 23 and 30 September are to be arranged by Jane Tidswell.

THE church hall at St Gilbert and St Hugh is open every Thursday between 1pm and 3pm for tea, coffee and cake. There is also a book exchange, bring and buy table and produce stall.

HOLBEACH

THE SADOS musical due to take place at the WI Hall, Park Road, Holbeach on Saturday, September 21 has been cancelled due to a double booking.

HOLBEACH WI is collecting old bras for Nadzow Dogs, a charity rescuing stray and abandoned dogs from Afghanistan and Iraq.Please take any to Joan’s shop on High Street, Holbeach, or give to any WI member.

SPALDING

TOLLGATE WI will be holding its members’ night tonight at St John’s Church lounge, Hawthorn Bank at 7.30pm. Visitors welcome.
