THERE will be a prize bingo at the Methodist Chapel in aid of the Poppy Appeal at 7pm on Friday.
GOSBERTON Parish Church is looking for someone to run the bric-a-brac stall at the 2014 flower and craft festival. This person will be required to set up the stall, decide on the prices and be there for most days during the festival. There are volunteers who help run the stall and no shortage of bric-a-brac. THIS year’s flower and craft festival at St Peter and St Paul’s Church made a profit of £11,283.78 which is much needed for the running of the church.

GOSBERTON House Care Home autumn charity fair proved a success raising £715.88. This will be divided between MS Society, Parkinsons and the care home. Thanks to all supporters.

GOSBERTON Risegate Methodist Church has a Christmas fayre on Saturday, November 30, at 1.30pm, with usual stalls and competitions and refreshments.
LOOKING for a Christmas present, then St Gilbert and St Hugh’s Church, has some for sale. Lovely tea towels are on sale at £5 and key rings for just £1.50. A NEW garden of remembrance for interment of ashes is shortly to be opened in Gosberton Clough, next to St Gilbert and St Hugh’s Church. The plot of land has been marked out and the necessary permission has been sought. AT the Rippingale and District Women’s Institute meeting a request was made for knitters to make poppies for displaying in Rippingale Church at the centenary of the First World War in 2014, then selling them later for the Poppy Appeal. Theatre trips, film shows and many other events have been arranged. On December 5, magician Paul V will entertain during the Christmas party, also Rose Queen.
