A coffee morning in the church hall on September 20 raised £168.70, which will go towards the money distributed next year to local good causes. The next coffee morning is on November 29.

Gedney Drove End
Welcome Club will meet at the village hall on Thursday at 7.30pm for the annual harvest evening with a supper and an auction of produce. Will members please bring their own cutlery and some produce for the sale. The competition will be for members’ home made sweets.

Gosberton is opening a community cafe in the village youth club for a trial period of eight weeks and is looking for volunteers to help with the running. About three volunteers are required for each week. The cafe will be selling home made cakes and scones. coffee, tea and squash, all available at good prices. l Youth Club meets at the youth centre on a Tuesday and Friday evening between 7.15pm and 9.45pm. Entry fee is just £1.50 and refreshments are available. Sports available at the club include football, badminton, unihock, carpet bowls and dodgeball. The club is provided by local volunteers for young people between the ages of 11 and 21 years. The Duke of York, Gosberton Risegate, is the venue for the Gosberton Churches Together harvest auction, quiz and beetle drive on Thursday, October 25 at 7.30pm.
