THERE will be another fashion show by Lincs Fashion raising funds for the village hall on Wednesday, September 4, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £3 to include refreshments and are available form the Post Office or phone 01775 820784. There will be a raffle. Everyone welcome to an entertaining evening.
COFFEE morning will be held in the United Reformed Church Schoolroom this Saturday, 10-11.30am.
There will be all the usual attractions.
FLEET Baptist Ladies meet today at 2pm when the speaker will be Steven Holmes on the history of Battleford Hall, Fleet. Men and ladies welcome.
EVERY Sunday at 3pm there is a Family Service at Fleet Baptist Church, also on a Tuesday there is a coffee morning 10am-noon.
THERE is a planning meeting today at the Methodist Church (7.30pm) for the next united service for the Gosberton group of churches.
This will be to celebrate One World Week on October 27 at St Peter and St Paul’s Church and it was decided at the recent churches together meeting to plan a service that will reach out to the ‘unchurched’ of all ages.
It is hoped that at this meeting there will be a good representation from the seven churches within the group to put forward their ideas.
It is also hoped that all of the church and chapel members within the group will show their commitment by attending the October service.
If anyone has ideas but cannot get to the meeting they are invited to share their ideas with someone who is going or phone 01775 840694.
ROYAL British Legion women’s section cake stall and raffle this Friday, 9-11.45am, in St Mary’s Church Hall.
THE 1960s international recording star Ricky Valance will be holding a musical evening ‘My Life, My Story’ on Friday, August 16 at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church.
Due to it being a popular event, admission will be by pre-paid ticket only.
The ticket price of £10 will include light refreshments during the interval.

THANKS to all who helped raise £66 at the recent Evergreen Club music afternoon. The money will help towards club outings and functions.
RUTH O’Melia, Community Liaison Manager from St Barnabas Hospice is the speaker at Surfleet Ladybirds Club on Tuesday, August 13 in the Fraiser Room at 7.30pm.
She will be spreading the word about the many services the hospice offer, who can access them and dispelling the myths about hospice care.
It will be a most enlightening talk; 50p members and 75p non members.
