There will be a prize bingo at the Methodist Chapel on Friday at 7pm. All welcome.
There is a meeting of the British Legion Women’s section at 2pm in the Stables Hall today.
Lisa Osborn and Barbara O’Neil of Age UK were the speakers at Fleet Baptist Ladies meeting. The ladies were asked to join in some gentle exercises and a vote of thanks was given by Joyce Waterfall. The next meeting is on June 3 at 2pm when Travis Graham will be entertaining. All welcome.
There is a coffee morning every Tuesday at 10am in the Stables Hall.
Good Companion’s Club members enjoyed their meeting in the public hall on Tuesday afternoon. Games of bingo were played with Bryan Waters as the caller. There was a raffle organised by Edna Richardson and Lilian Crunkhorn and refreshments were served by members. Les Stevenson conducted the auction with Maxine Dobney and Michael Smith as the runners. The members were reminded of the outing to Great Yarmouth on Wednesday, May 28.
Twenty-three people enjoyed the Baptist film show on Wednesday, watching films on Coton Manor Gardens, Holt, and different parts of Cumbria.
Sandwiches for the tea were provided by Betty Wilson and the cakes by Phyllis Baxter and Marlene Twelftree. Helpers were Yvonne Cropley, Gill Adlard, Tessa Chapman, Marlene Twelftree, Phyllis Baxter, Syd Manley, Dave Twelftree, Maurice Adlard and the Rev Steve Weatherly-Barton.

Anyone who served in the British armed forces, or is a spouse or dependant of someone who did and needs financial assistant from the RBL are asked to contact Gene Waterfall who willl put them on to the county welfare team.
The next meeting of Holbeach WI will be on Thursday at 7pm in the WI Hall in Park Road, when the speaker will be Mrs Pauline Ansell on doll making. Vistors are always very welcome.
ROYAL British Legion women’s section members will enjoy a three-course ham salad meal on Monday, June 2, at 7pm. Cost is £6.50 and there will also be a quiz and raffle.
METHODIST Church has a coffee morning this Saturday, 10am-noon. Everyone is invited along for the usual refreshments and to browse the book stall. Local produce, craft items, cards, puzzles, etc, will also be available. Thanks goes to everyone who supported the recent flower festival and the 35th village parade.
Bingo is on Monday at 7.30pm at St Paul’s Church Hall, Fulney.
