SATURDAY Strollers will be walking from Upton and will go through Southey Wood on Saturday. Meet at the former St Guthlac School by 10.25am to share transport if needed. Please bring a picnic lunch.

CROWLAND Juniors are holding a bingo evening on Friday, November 29, at the Royal British Legion Hall. Eyes down at 7.30pm.

CROWLAND Methodist Chapel is collecting for Agape Care, the food bank in Spalding, which covers the Crowland area. Examples of food required are UHT milk, squash, pasta sauces, cereals, jam, biscuits, etc. Please drop off at the chapel on Saturday mornings.

Donington

A CHRISTMAS fayre is being held on Sunday at Thomas Cowley High School, 10am-4pm. Attractions will include a Rodeo reindeer, snowboard simulator, Father Christmas, over 40 stalls and refreshments.

THE next roller disco with Leo Promotions at the community centre is on Tuesday, 6-8pm. Dress up in a ‘onesie’ for a fun skating session. Refreshments provided by the Entertainment Committee.

CELEBRATE Christmas at the community centre at the Christmas disco on Saturday, December 14, 7.30pm- late. Entry on door £5 adult, £1 child. New Year’s Eve party for all, 7.30pm-late. Tickets £6 adult, £1 child.

DONINGTON Community Centre is organising a wedding and prom fayre on March 8 to promote local businesses. Stalls are available for any business that offers services relating to weddings and proms. A WORLD War Two community ‘pop up’ museum is being held in the primary school hall today, 5-8.30pm. Admission is free and refreshments are available.

Moulton Seas End

MOULTON Seas End Village Hall Committee is holding a race night in aid of village hall funds on Saturday, racing starts at 7.30pm. Admission £3 for adults. Don’t forget to bring your own refreshments. A great night out for all the family.

Spalding

SPALDING East Townswomen’s Guild meet on Tuesday at the Gleed Academy library at 7pm. The speaker is Liz Walmesley speaking on the Work of Age Concern and the competition is for a walking stick. Everyone is welcome to go along.

BROAD Street Methodist Church is holding a quiz night on Saturday at 7pm. Tickets are £5 (to include hotdog) from 01775 769438. Bring your own team, not exceeding six, or make up a team on the night. Quiz suitable for all ages and interests. Because of building work there won’t be a Christmas tree festival but Christmas fayres will be held on November 30 and December 7, at 7.30pm. Spalding Ramblers

SPALDING Ramblers walk this Sunday will start in Northborough, near Peterborough. Meet in the cul de sac north of the crossroads in the village for a 10am start. Further details available from the leader on 01775 630667. Look out for the programme of walks for 2014 which will shortly be available from libraries and the South Holland Centre.

Surfleet

CHRISTMAS fayre is this Sunday in the village hall, 11am-4pm. Come and see Santa, Mrs Santa Claus and elves. Admission is free and there will be craft stalls, a raffle and refreshments.

West Pinchbeck

A CHRISTMAS coffee morning is being held this Saturday, 10am-1pm in St Bartholomew’s Church. Call in for cards and gifts, home made cards, jewellery and craft items, Christmas tombola, books and refreshments. As this is being held on the normal monthly coffee morning date there will be a parish councillor available during the morning if you have any concerns you wish to discuss. Proceeds to St Bartholomew’s Church. Free entry.

WHAPLODE Drove Playing Field Association annual meeting is at the Elizabethan Centre, Parsons Lane, on Friday, November 29 at 8pm.

COME and begin getting in the Christmas spirit this Sunday! Children and adults are welcome to help decorate the Family Get2gether tree, ready for it to be exhibited in the annual Christmas tree competition. This informal gathering, lasting about an hour, during which refreshments will be served, begins at 11am in St John the Baptist Church. The first weekend for voting and viewing this year’s Christmas tree exhibits is December 7 and 8.
